About the Presenter

Description

The OT Link is delighted to welcome Jacqui Edgar (B Occ Ther) to present Coffee Club.

Jacqui specializes in the assessment and treatment of adolescents and adults with psychiatric conditions. She conducts vocational, sensory and functional assessments and therapy, geared towards improving functioning in work, studies and lifestyle management. After graduating Cum Laude from the University of Pretoria in 2011, she worked at Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital (CHBAH) for three years where she was awarded the CHBAH’s OT of the Year Award in 2013. She has trained and supervised occupational therapy students and served as an executive committee member of Psychiatric OT’s (POTS) for three years. As an Adult and Adolescent Sensory Intelligence practitioner, she assists individuals who experience difficulties processing sensory information (auditory, tactile, movement, smell, taste, visual) to manage these difficulties and to improve their ability to cope in work, home and school environments.

Fantastic course- highly recommended

This was a brilliant course! It left me feeling inspired to be an OT. We have so many wonderful, practical strategies that we can use to support clients with ADHD, and I learnt so much from what Jaqui shared. Thanks for an informative course. I would highly recommend this to any OTs working in the mental health field.
