Occupational therapists are increasingly expected to justify why they do what they do in cognitive rehabilitation – clinically, ethically and in return-to-work contexts. This Coffee Club course brings together current evidence and expert clinical insight to support clearer reasoning, more confident treatment planning and defensible practice across adult mental health, physical rehab, vocational rehabilitation, FCE and insurance settings. Expect practical guidance, real-world examples and space for thoughtful discussion around the challenges OTs are facing in everyday practice.

About the Presenter

Description

The OT Link is delighted to welcome Jacqui Edgar (B Occ Ther) to present Coffee Club.

Jacqui is an Occupational Therapist (OT) specialising in the assessment and treatment of adolescents and adults with psychiatric conditions. She qualified in 2011, Cum Laude, from the University of Pretoria and has worked in both public and private mental health settings, including Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital and Akeso Clinic in Parktown. Her clinical interests include ADHD, cognitive rehabilitation, return-to-work intervention, and functional capacity evaluations (FCEs). She is currently based in Knysna, having relocated in 2024.
