Objectives of this course
After completing this activity, the participant will be able to:
- Gain insight into the diverse effects of social media on adolescents’ psychological, social, and emotional development.
- Explain how to promote safe and balanced social media usage based on the adolescents’ developmental stage.
- Discuss strategies to address cyberbullying, harmful content exposure, and discrimination; and how to foster healthy online interactions.
- Describe the training, skills and competencies required to create social media literacy (Digital Citizenship and Digital Literacy).
