The OT Link is excited to welcome Dr Tania Buys to present this Coffee Club designed specifically for Claims Assessors working in the Insurance Industry.
Tania is a lecturer in the Occupational Therapy Department at the University of Pretoria. Her passion for occupational therapy lies in vocational rehabilitation from a community, private and public sector perspective having worked in all three areas over the years. Her interests and teaching responsibilities include vocational rehabilitation, human rights, disability equity legislation, ethics, advocacy and research. She holds a masters’ degree in occupational therapy and has recently completed her PhD in curriculum development.
Tania’s publications and presentations relate to vocational rehabilitation, mental health, research supervision and hippotherapy.
Additionally, Tania is a passionate, although still learning, horse rider and firmly believes in the therapeutic value of riding as an occupation to achieve occupational wellness and balance.
