Summary of the article

This review focuses on research that has been done on resilience in children and youth. Firstly, it highlights changes that have occurred in resilience science over the years as a dynamic systems perspective took hold.  Secondly, the article attempts to endorse a systems definition of resilience, to support scalability and portability across multiple disciplines and levels of analysis. Thirdly, it presents research that has been conducted regarding the factors and processes that might influence resilience. Lastly, the implications of a multisystem developmental framework for resilience research and its applications in practice are discussed.
