Jennifer Brueton [BSc (OT)] qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2006. As the owner and lead Occupational Therapist at Jennifer Brueton Occupational Therapy, she oversees the delivery of comprehensive rehabilitation services to clients with a wide range of neurological and physical impairments. In addition to their outpatient services, they also provide in-patient occupational therapy at Midstream MediClinic, treating clients following acute illness, neurological impairment, medical and surgical interventions, and ICU admissions. She is passionate about helping clients of all ages to maximise their independence and live fulfilling lives, regardless of their challenges. She values an holistic, client-centred approach, working closely with clients and their families to develop comprehensive individualised treatment plans for their therapy. Throughout her career, she has remained committed to staying at the forefront of the field, completing numerous continuing education courses and workshops, both in South Africa and the United Kingdom. These include: LSVT BIG for Parkinson’s disease, Basic Bobath and Functional Capacity Evaluations using the WorkWell and PFCE methodologies. Through her training with the Nutrition Network in Therapeutic Carbohydrate Restriction, she has expanded her expertise to include comprehensive metabolic health coaching. she works to empower her clients to make sustainable and long term habit changes and lifestyle modifications tailored to their unique needs.
