Endurance and Fatigue

Course Overview

3 CEUS

This course consists of two pre-recorded video presentations.

So often we find clients presenting in our rehab clinics or for functional capacity evaluations, where muscle strength is intact and skill is adequate and yet they are unable to manage a full day at work or are unproductive in self-care activities at home. Clients can feel misunderstood and frustrated by employers and their family’s high expectations when they just feel unable to cope. Kathy delves into the topic of endurance and its impact on fatigue and performance as a possible answer to this puzzling presentation.

Video 1 reviews:

  • Definitions of  endurance and fatigue
  • The causes of fatigue
  • The classification of fatigue and endurance
  • Typical presentation of fatigue in various conditions
  • Assessment and treatment of fatigue and endurance
  • Return to work in persons with endurance and fatigue issues

Video 2:

  • Kathy presents a case study of a client presenting with endurance and fatigue post MVA. The group shares an insightful discussion around return to work considerations and recommendations and raise some interesting questions.
*You have until 31 December 2024 to complete this course.
