Prof Uys, an Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Occupational Therapy at the University of Pretoria, has over 30 years of experience in clinical practice and academia. She holds a PhD titled “Validation of a Play Package to Facilitate the Development of Communication-Related Skills” and an M (AAC) awarded Cum Laude. With a focus on early childhood disabilities, assistive technologies, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), she integrates these areas to promote participation in meaningful occupations. A widely published researcher, she has supervised numerous postgraduate studies and presented at both international and local conferences.

Fabulous AAC

this is an amazing course for beginners/ community service therapist. I hope that the SLT as well could take it so that the team work required could be wide spready know and put into effect to help our clients.
