Objectives of this course
On completion of this CPD activity, the participant will be able to:
- Describe why outcomes are essential in providing evidence for intervention.
- Describe the journey from service input to treatment outcomes:
- Determining a single target for a programme?
- Explain the terms measurement, evaluation and assessment in the context of a programme.
- Describe the process of input, output and outcomes.
- Review the scales of measurement according to Stevens’ theory of scales of measurement.
- Define objective verses subjective observations.
- Describe routine outcome measurement.
- Define clinical utility.
