Objectives of this course
On completion of this CPD activity, the participant will be able to:
- Describe the challenges experienced by professionals who make communication aid recommendations for children.
- Elaborate on the child characteristics, access features, and communication aid attributes that professionals consider during communication aid decision-making.
- Discuss an explanatory model developed to illustrate the interaction effect that several competing considerations may have on communication aid decision-making.
- Discuss the clinical implications of the study findings with regard to the decision-making process of communication aid recommendations.
