Objectives of this course
On completion of this CPD activity, the participant will be able to:
- Describe the mobility and gross motor skills of children who are classified in the Gross Motor Function Classification System Levels I or II.
- Compare the terms “high-level motor skills” and “early gross motor skills”.
- Discuss the characteristics of eleven high-level motor skills assessment tools.
- Compare evidence of the validity, reliability, and responsiveness of eleven high-level motor skills assessment tools.
- Implement the decision tree to identify relevant and appropriate tools to measure high-level motor skills for ambulant, school-aged children with cerebral palsy.
- Discuss the clinical utility of different high-level motor skills assessment tools.
